Postcard from Singapore

Flowers, shopping, efficiency, diversity…Singapore!!!
The children and I have just spent a couple of days in this very pleasant clean city effortlessly gliding from one medical specialist to another. In between appointments we took the opportunity to partake of the wonderful array of foods that are on offer and spent a pleasant hour or so browsing one of the best stocked bookshops I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Needless to say the suitcase was again labelled with the mandatory ‘heavy’ sticker.
It wasn’t all eating, shopping and doctors, we did find time to squeeze in a visit to the National Museum of Singapore which is housed in a stunning building http://www.nationalmuseum.sg. The display we walked through was quite interesting, presenting a side of Singaporean history in a manner that kept even the children engrossed.
No matter how many times I am fortunate enough to visit this city, it never ceases to amaze with its high density living it still gives the impression of a well manicured jungle garden. Without a doubt Singapore airport has to be one of the most beautiful airports around.
